Wow - we don't know anything - but two elitist professors (tenured - no doubt)tell us now that - "hey we all want higher taxes and we all want that money you take from us - to be distributed to those who - doggone it - can't be bothered to work like the rest of us!". I'm paraphrasing, but I believe that sums it up pretty well. Throw in the usual swipe at Limbaugh and Hannity and the obligatory cry for MORE billions for an education system that has gouged the taxpayer is such a way that would make Tom Petters look benevolent in his dealings - and you got the perfect liberal drivel. How much grant money was pissed away on this propaganda? Plus the staff, I'm sure - these deals don't write themselves. So, I'm to believe these learned icons? So far, all their efforts have done is provide you with the usual fluff. Let me take a shot - minus the BS titles and taxpayer funding. No, your average Joe DOESN'T want people to starve. No, you average Joe isn't going to "riot" because they are unhappy or think that they are getting a raw deal - that's your people with the poop-filled balloons - not us. What does get us quietly seething is that elitist snots, none of which can remember doing an honest days work, are trying to pull some liberal "jedi-mindtrick" to get us to feel good about having our hard earned money taken from us and given to deadbeats. Not gonna work Pal. If any limos should get burned - it should be the ones containing your snotty liberal elite. Bernie Madoff? Hmmm - I wonder what ideology he ascribed to? I'd bet you whats left of my paycheck that it wasn't conservative....
When are you going to write a column sticking up for the guy who rammed the abortion (baby genocide) clinic? You stuck up for the RNC terrorists and this is the same type of crime and I know you like sticking up for criminals so I can't wait to read your column about this one. What's that you say? He ain't liberal enought to warrent a column from Nicky the Red.
No need to save, President Obama is my retirement plan!
Nice diction.... Is it new? Labels can be very helpful to cut to the chase. This is a practical choice...and I like the ironic allusion to the Proletariat. Nice column, Nick. I might see if I can check this out from the local PUBLIC library once it's out. Oh, and I put PUBLIC in all capitals just to piss of the Limpbaugh/Hammity/O'Lielly crowd ;)
there never was a problem providing support to people who need help and are trying/working in this country. it's all the freeloaders and vermin that that has so infected the welfare system one can tell one from the other. to the socialists it does not make a difference, take the money from the working class and dump it anywhere. i'm afraid those times are over.
I guess if old Nick isn't writing columns supporting the anarchists at the RNC who wanted to torch St.Paul, he's bashing Bush or Pawlenty. Now Nick is trying to tell us that we all love to pay taxes. Is Nick trying to set us up for what we're in store for under Obama's socialist programs and his most recent worldwide welfare abortion program. We are literally being taxed out of our homes and Nick tells me I should love it. Oh boy! Where does this nonsense end?
I thought that the Star Tribune was letting both Katherine Kersten and Nick Coleman go. ....Another example of "libral biase" at the Strib?
Under legislation proposed by Sen Charles Schumer, Katherine Kersten would have been eliminated anyway.....same with that big religious radio station in Roseville.
I'm just curious...
