I was hoping to see a lot of Booty starting this season. I already knew what we had in Gus and TJack...a dead end. This team needs to trade up and grab a franchise QB like Stafford or Bradford or Sanchez if they come out. Enough is enough already, how many more years do we have to wait for a QB? No way the Vikes advance to the big dance without drafting the franchise QB. NO WAY!

This kid is a can't miss superstar. We had better get him because he is going to be a star.

Looking at the home schedule (with the usual G.Bay exception) next year, I highly doubt we'll be watching them on TV locally. T.Jack has some promise, but then it just fades away at times. Who knows, maybe Booty can show us something.

Shame on you Sid. Georgia Tech is in the ACC not the SEC.

Not another washed up coach from Wisconsin. Im from Nebraska and I Saw first hand what Cosgrove did here which was a whole lot of nothing!!! His Defense was horrid about as bad when Tice was here. I will be disappointed. It truly takes the gophers defense a huge step back. Far as Booty I would love to see him soon but not to soon we need to find a immediate starter now!!!

In Sid's mind Georgia Tech is still in the SEC and Paul Bear Bryant is still the best coach in college football.

Are all poor in my ratings: Skills, overall talent, and leadership. I say they trade Gus and Jackson and let Bootdog ride the pine. Draft a QB in rounds 1 or 2. Bring in a decent backup, not David Carr and we go for it again next year. The team needs to be able to build on this years success, 10 wins, tough D, run game, etc. If not they are just pounishing their fans again and again.

Wow the Gophers paid Roof the most money of any defensive cordinator in the Big Ten. He bolts for a $150,000 raise! Good for him but what does that say about college football?

Look at all the other great collegiate QBs who were can't-miss prospects: Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, David Carr, Joey Harrington, Akili Smith, Cade McNown, Heath Shuler, David Klingler, Andre Ware, Alex Smith, etc. Most of these were top-10 picks, and some were even #1. None of them have shown to be anything better than Tarvaris Jackson. Look where Tom Brady, Drew Brees, etc. were drafted. They weren't heralded QBs out of college. Let's look at the current QBs in the playoffs. Two weren't even drafted - Kurt Warner and Jake Delhomme. Eli, McNabb, Rivers, and Roethlisberger were top-12 picks. Flacco is a rookie and old greybeard, Kerry Collins, had his best days in the mid-90s before becoming a journeyman and a backup. So you never quite know where you QB is going to come from. Just don't parade some college stud around like he's the second coming of Jesus.
