Had the oppty to meet him. He was super nice to my girls. He's a laid back cat with a good attitude. With the flip flops and all he looks like a surfer dude but he's one heck of a ball player. Glad we have him.

I've been reticent to criticize Chilly like most of the crowd, but I felt like that knee jerk to what happened in Nawlins bears analogue to making a mountain out of mole hill if one considers the big picture of Chris' career with the purple. Ditto to supervman1, I'm glad we've got him!!!

His numbers would've been better if not for idiot David Herron (scrub). Twice that moron has had no reason to touch the ball while stopped on the one foot line and twice his dumb@$$ knocks it into the endzone???!! Is Freaking Leon Lett the special teams coach?

i wish they would break down their stats a little differently...or at least say so if they do. while landing a bunch of punts inside the 20 is great...it could also just mean that the team punts a lot more than past viks teams. they should have a category for number of crushing hits put on opposing players by a punter.

In looking at stats among punters, Kluwe definitely could have made the trip to Hawaii. The one thing he can do better is drop that ball inside the five more often on the coffin corner kicks. That is the one thing he needs to get better at.

...until he starts booming kickoffs beyond the back of the end zone, Berger will be number one in my eyes. Too bad nobody else on special teams has helped him out all year.

Back when we had him, kickoffs were from the 35 instead of the 30. The "kicking balls" that are used for punts, kickoffs, field goals and extra points (and are more inflated and thus aren't supposed to travel as far)were not in use when Mitch was on our team. I also remember Berger sending the ball out of the end zone (and even thru the uprights) mostly when there was a penalty on the opposing team on a previous play that was enforced on the kickoff. Not to take anything away from him, though. I miss him mostly because I miss the teams that he was on

Kluwe,I think that you should start puting the football at the 5yd line instead of the 1yd line because, your special team players, when you kick on the 1yd line carry it into the end zone for a touchback. It really pisses alot of fans off!!!You do your job and they want to be a "HERO" I guess.Special teams really need to inprove in the playoffs!!!

How soon you forget about the debacle that was the Saints game this year! The boneheaded punter couldn't punt the ball out of bounds and that nearly cost us the game and possibly the playoffs. His low line drive kicks have caused the vikes to give up many big returns over the years. Kluwe is average at best.

norb-55 is! You judge an athlete by his worst day. According to you everyone on the Vikings is a poor or average player since everyone has had a less than excellent day. Why don't you just take out the garbage, take a chill pill and stop trying to be an impossible to please critic, who does not know what he's talking about!
