We'll create another generations of people who are basically equipment operators with a gambling problem, hopelessly hooked on agricultural subsidies in a business model base on the 1940's. Meanwhile we still subsidies to farmers for corn while they enjoy record prices as they take highly errodible land out of CRP and put it into production.

you clearly did not read the article and know absolutely nothing about the what Land Stewardship Project is all about. its about small sustainable farms NOT the Industrial farming style you are referring to in your comment. like any small business your chances of succeeding is about 30%. I know cause I run a local small farm operation I established in 1994 and supply many of the coops etc.
