A long way from over

I didn't have to wait long. The state Supreme Court's ruling came shortly after my previous post. Would that the court had been as decisive as it was timely. Instead of issuing a clear "yes" or "no" to local election administrators on the question of counting improperly rejected absentee ballots, it came up with, in essence:  "Ask the campaigns what they think, and don't open a ballot unless both campaigns agree that it should have been counted on Nov. 4."

The ruling is to accept and count all legally filed ballots, equally for all people in the state. This should be added to the laws regarding the election. There also needs to be some trainig of the staffs at the counties that cannot figure out what the 4 criteria of the state law are.

...the Attorney General's office that he didn't have the power to order the counties to sort the Rejected Absentee Ballots. Therefore, he recommended that instead. I disagree with letting the campaigns prevent the inclusion of ballots. The government is supposed to run an election, not the campaigns.

Being from Indiana, it's a toss up between Minnesota, Illinois, & Florida as to which state has the most inept or crooked election process. In Indiana, "Yes" means yes. A marked circle is a yes. Two marked circles means no vote. No marked circle means a no vote. SIMPLE!
