Did the Star Tribune hire 10 year olds to write in a cost saving measure?
And they should put it back on the radio where it belongs. Going on the internet sure leaves me out.
It was better on KNOW. We used to live in the caribbean and every year my mother in law would do a request for us and EVERY year they would think that the request was for someone in St Croix, WI....rather than the VI. The most memorable was to hear them play a song on our wedding day with 50 people gathered around a computer at 7am to listen in to the dedication...will miss you.
I started listening in about 7th grade; they used to have a feature called "Ask Doctor Science" from the Ducks Breath Mystery Theater. I'm in my 30's now and have enjoyed the show ever since.
It's a put down to The Current's holier than thou hipsters who don't like the show.
To all 11 of you out there who actually listened to this show
cla123, that's exactly what I thought. It's so jarring it interrupts, and takes away from, the story. Guess I'd rather my professional writers sound like they deserve to be professionals, rather than one of my friends in an e-mail.
good riddance. the show was pretty weak.
Geez...why all the hate? It's sad that people feel they have to slam something other people love. Says more about them than what they're criticizing...anyhow, The Morning Show was truly unique to not only Twin Cities Radio, but nationally as well. The fact that it was the longest running morning show in the Twin Cities says that there was/is an audience. I never thought it should have been on the Current, as it seemed like the target audience wasn't into alternative music, but at least Jim Ed and Dale get a farewell broadcast. You can't say that about any other station around here when DJs are let go. (*cough* Mischke *cough*)
Seriously, if you can't say anything nice, then just don't say it at all.
I'm a loyal listener of both the Current *and* 99.5, and I've been a fan of the show since I started listening almost 15 years ago (I think I was 18 at the time?). It's quirky, it's different, it's got a wonderfully dry humor. I'll miss you, Dale and Jim!
