This guy is so inept. Geez RT what happened to your $50,000.00 artistic water fountains? He hates all the union city workers and wants to replace them with private contractors who don't live or invest in the city. How this guy keeps getting elected is mind blowing. Oops I forgot that he was the lapdog for the DFL money people. You know who you are.

come on Raymond Thomas. If you would forego those expensive haircuts, facials, gels, and designer suits, you might be able to keep a couple more snow plow operators or rink attendants on board. When it all boils down to it, you will always make the hard decisions and sacrifices as long as it doesn't affect you personally. Minneapolis is an interesting place. Lotsa filthy, (and I mean filthy) rich livin' among the poor. Just seems like a bit of a disconnect to think of you as a champion of the people.

Taxpayers are expected to pay for government workers 401k losses? What's wrong with THAT picture? Are the taxpayers going to pay for my 401k stock market losses? So, we pay for their and suck it up on ours? Fix that system.

R.T. has just realized we are in a credit crunch and a recession. Hiring freeze, no way start cutting government employees and lower our taxes.

When are you people going to wake up and realize that we NEED to spend money on artistic drinking fountains! I think they are a bargain for 50k! By the way, here is one: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/cped/docs/Dinkytown.pdf

Call for a Staff Reduction and a Services Reduction ...It's the Only Way to Also Reduce Taxes!! ...............................................................................................Idiot there were 2-3 operators answering 911 calls for the entire city of Minneapolis today for all it's 500,000 people plus the 100,000 or so people that commute into town for work...and believe it or not it's pretty typical....we used to have 6-7 before the last hiring freeze when Pawlenty halved city funding.
