The Republicans have proposed that all ballots be stored near the furnace at Secure Document Disposal, Inc.
this isn't even the recount so what strange things are happening? The fluctuations are normal and you know that. What a ridiculous thing to say without explaining further.
The fact that the people responsible for counting votes are either Republican or Democrat is a travesty. This should obviously be a non-partisan (not bi-partisan) position.
Barring that, I am thankful that a Democrat is in charge. It is an unfortunate fact that the vast majority of voting shenanigans across the country come from Republicans, a reflection of their "do anything it takes to win" approach to politics.
Remember Katherine Harris in Florida in 2000? Ohio in 2000 and 2004? That's just the tip of the iceberg.
I have more trust a Democrat to be fair--at least as much as someone with a vested interest in the outcome can possibly be.
The judicial model--two opposed parties having access to the process--would probably give enough oversight to the recount. The recount ought to be done by the city and county officials who originally put on the election. They are likely to be members of one party or another. The security is in giving the two parties access to watch the process so that complaints can be lodged.
The party got a little crazy ....who should I report this to??? it looks like there is at least 400 there from the Loring Park district....they deserve to be counted!!!!
...Correcting these typos was claimed to add 435 votes to Franken and take 69 votes from Coleman. Corrections were posted in other races, but they were only a fraction of those for the Senate. The Senate gains for Franken were 2.5 times the gain for Obama in the presidential race count, 2.9 times the total gain that Democrats got across all Minnesota congressional races, and 5 times the net loss that Democrats suffered for all state House races....Indeed, the 504 total new votes for Franken from all the precincts is greater than adding together all the changes for all the precincts in the entire state for the presidential, congressional, and state house races combined (a sum of 482)...
Isn't fun to watch the REP'S bring out their usual assortment of fear, stupidity, BS, as they try to confuse the issue. Just do the recount and quit having morons like that little clown gov we have voice his opinion on something he knows nothing about as usual.
Do you think that the Senate will seat Coleman if he is found to be the winner by less than, say, 32 votes if Franken has a court case in progress? I suppose we can ask "a121940" to answer this. That poster, is after all, the self-proclaimed expert on all things fearful, stupid, "BS," confusing, moronic, clownish and opinionated. All normal things in his/her universe I am quite convinced.
It's obvious that Franken lost. Coleman claimed victory, didn't he? That means he won! If the numbers change to a Franken win after a recount, then someone must be cheating. It's simply not possible that a recount could end up with a Franken win. Just ask any of these people posting. They must know something about recounts. The winner can't change.
