I have heard that mammograms expose women to a lot of radiation.

History on EITHER side can be cause for an early mammogram. Always tell your doctor what diseases are on BOTH sides of your family and don't let anyone tell you not to get a mammogram if the history is only on your paternal side and none on your maternal side.

If there was something that I could have done that would have prevented my Leukemia 2 years ago, I would have gladly done it. And yes, jk12345, some men have had breast cancer too, so no one can be too careful!
