If the NHL is in such good shape under Bettman, why is the main TV deal with a third-rate network like Versus? They do a decent job of covering the league, but relatively few people even get the network.

I never did like the way Bettman reduces team sports to individual stars by promoting games as they come to town with such hype. It lasted in the NBA for only a short time and is a joke in the NHL. Promote the team, not the individual.

Sid, have you every watched the NHL entry draft and hear everyone in the building 'boo' Bettman? Gary Bettman sucks as comissioner. He expands the league to places such as Atlanta, Florida, Anaheim, Nashville, Phoenixe and their arena's are nearly empty. Places like Quebec City, Halifax, Winnepeg, or Thunder Bay could actually run and support an NHL franchise. Bettman, please resign soon.
