Bookings have been strong enough to improve on the original reduction to half wages, but cash still is in short supply.

Maybe if they only pay the female workers 70% of the wages of men they can stay in business longer. It works well for the Obama campaign.

We bought our tickets on Sun Country last week for our Christmas trip to Jamaica. Glad to see things are starting to look up for them. Minnesota really needs this hometown airline to survive.

What does the writing on the wall say and who wrote it? I tend not to believe anything written on walls in the first place and I usually question the person's who wrote on the wall knows what they are writing about and why didn't they use paper like normal people?. The only writing I see is my writing on a check I just wrote (Actually, I did it by the internet) booking my travel plans on SCA. Now since your comment seems to be a general cliche saying you give the impression that you do not work for or patronize SCA's business or know the airline business. I myself have worked for SCA and two other MSP airlines and SCA was far the best company to work for ever. SCA will make it with a little of our help. The traveling public and the State should be supporting SCA as much as they can. Otherwise your alternative is going to be flying on Delta/NWA's world war 2 vintage airplanes, served by snotty old disgruntled flight attendants while crammed into a French built flimsy unreliable piece of crap for a premium price because the competition doesn't exist anymore. Don't forget to save your luggage tag when your waiting in the lost luggage claim form line. Also Don't hold your breath for SWA to back fill SCA if they leave either. SWA is talking about what 1,2 flights from MSP to ORD in March 2009?

...have to do with the Obama campaign, paulsworkshop? Take your political rants, whines, and spam to an appropriate comments page. What's wrong with you? That said, the best thing all of us can do is support Sun Country. If you've never flown them, try 'em. If it's a common destination with NWA I'm certain SWA will be your choice in the future.

It's too bad the economy is as bad as it is or maybe the employees could invest/own the company, it's one company I'd be happy to have ownership in if it were better times. Stan is doing everything he can!

Last sentence in previous comment (What does SCA...) should read. "If it's a common destination with NWA I'm certain SCA will be your choice in the future.

Now that the NWA/Delta merger will likely be completed and the headquarters moved to Atlanta, only Sun Country will remain as a hometown airline. NWA doesn't seem to have a problem stuffing an agreement into the eye of the state even though they signed agreements with them for a bailout, one being to maintain a headquarters in Minnesota. Lower fuel costs also should have a positive effect on the possible survival of Sun Country. I would like to see NWA get major competition from other airlines, Sun Country among them. The addition of Southwest early next year hopefully will add to additional flights by them and direct routes to other cities soon once they see how things go flying into Chicago. Hang in there Sun Country!

Fuel costs are lower than last summer. Winter travel season is coming up. Hang in their people!

The article doesn't mention how much of a pay cut Gadek is taking.
