Tom Petters and his billions. That were extracted by fraud. Absolutely illegal. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Johnson and Raines where hundreds of billions equaling trillions were extracted by fraud AND force of law. Still looking for their DOC intake photos. Anyone seen those photos yet?

Matthew 21:12-13 "Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers, and the benches of those selling doves. "It is written," he said to them, " 'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den of robbers." 40k a year, for 40 years, to ministers, and pastors? To my knowledge, these are nontaxable incomes, due to the fact that they are affiliated with a church. When did they pay into Social Security, like most of us have all of our lives? Who the heck held a gun to their heads and forced them to invest in such a "lucrative" venture? What part of bible class did they NOT attend? At the risk of being a sinner..I can only say..you psudo "God fearing leaders" are now reaping what you sow...deal with it..I know I have....a soon to be Petters former employee. Thank the REAL GOD for common sense, and unemployment.

Pseudo... that is how it is spelled. Jesus is the Lord of compassion- these pastors have devoted their lives to furthering His kingdom. You don't have to pity, but have some compassion. 2 Corinthians 1:3.

It reminds me of Enron a few years back. Not one person complained or tried to bring attention to 50%, 100%, 200% gains. The house of cards crashes and we hear sound bites how their lives are destroyed. My parents live comfortably because they saved and did not speculate in order for the huge home run.

It is is too bad that so many are willing to fall prey to their hopes of getting rich quick. If folks weren't quite so willing to believe in silly get rich quick fairy tales, they would not fall prey to the Petters and Enrons of the world. And really, is getting rich quick even a good thing? Isn't it better to work to contribute to the world and, in exchange for this, to prosper a bit without being disgustingly rich?

these same churches dont give a sh-t about all the other citizens in this state who lost money due to scams and political cover up victims.I hope the fbi investigates every church themselves-they get tax exemption and want more by gambling with stocks.I remember the churches in dakota county who sneared at me years ago for trying to report corruption/embezellment.comes around goes around-now lets you churches start standing up for the average citizens who paid a price for all this cover up/embezelment/sex scms in this state...I bet you wont see that happen...

the article states how some of these pators are living in their basements and selling their houses-yet they still have a 40,000 a year salary while everyone else is losing their jobs due to the economy....and each nite there are hundreds of kids sleeping in the streets....

There are many more Minnesota businesspeople who live the high life under the same rock from which Tom Petters crawled out from (or, in his case, was smoked out from by the FBI). And I am going to do my part so the whistle gets blown on as many of them as possible. Orange jump suits for all!
