I never thought his SNL bits were funny. I travel quite a bit for business and when I told people where I was from when Jesse was Governer they always maede fun of our state' s stupidity. I can't imagine how bad it will be if Franken is elected.

I'm sure Al has a lot of time in the heat of a U.S. Senate campaign to call an old friend "to catch up on things".

This is the best the republicans can come up with?? I guess destroying the economy and turning us into socialists must have them cowering and sleeping in a fetal position. Thanks for ruining America and don't forget to chant USA USA USA USA USA before you go to sleep.

Either talk about the real issues or go hide in a hole. If you'd quit thinking that McCain is God, you'd realize that anyone can say anything they like about the presidential candidate(s). Since when did our country become a dictatorship? Coleman was such a class act when Wellstone was killed in the plane crash the week before the election in 1992. Now he is scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

The AP story at startribune.com said almost the same thing. Why is this a story anyway? Franken has a phone conversation that inspired someone else to do a skit. Amazing!

"An SNL insider said that, as of the Wednesday script read-through, Franken was the “credited writer with Meyers” on the opening sketch" per the Politico story. Also, "But pressed if he was involved in the show or had been in contact with staff members, Murray admitted Franken had a role in Saturday's program."

The actual skit was so unfunny that one would just assume Franken wrote it.

If Minnesotans actually vote Al Franken into office, that will be the worst politician in Minnesota history and will make Minnesota tha laughing stock of the Country. Didn't anyone learn from Jesse Ventura? I guess liberals will put anyone up for election.
