But it's over.

I'll bet we win 3 of the last 7. See you next year! Although, if Nathan hadn't blown 4 games in the last month, we'd be in first place, right now. He's overrated and overpaid.

Dude - why all the hate on my man Reusse? I didn't feel ANY negativity here, just the facts. I was at the game at the Trop and wondered why people were bailing out in the 8th instead of seeing their beloved team make history. Reusse writes the truth and sometimes the truth hurts. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Pretty simple, even for someone like you, I'd say.

I was going to write a congrats to the Rays and talk about the fun I had down here in Fl watching the replay of the game on the computer with my morning coffee(I work nights) But this nroberts character and his rude, vulgar comments really has taken the fun out of commenting along with you nice folks. I lived in Mn for 25 years went to my first game at the old Met with my Mom when I was about 10. The only memory of my Grandfather who passed when I was 5 or 6 was him sitting on the steps listening to the ballgame on one of those little radio's with a earplug. Win or lose I watched or listened. I remember sitting in my aunts cabin on little pelican outside of Brainerd when Harmon hit a homerun in the all-star game. When I moved to Fl I found any way I could to continue to watch or listen to the games. I guess I am a true die hard. I have been reading Mr. Hartmans' and Mr. Ruesses column since I can remember. I have not always agreed with what they have had to say but I have always respected their opinion. That more than I can say for you Mr. nroberts.

From 1994-2001 the Twins drafted in the Top 6 five times including 3 times in the top 2. One of those was Joe Mauer. So I guess we can just say that all of the Twins success in the past 8 seasons can be attributed solely to having finished in 4th or 5th place for 8 straight years. Or maybe there is more to the success of both franchises. Like in the case of the Rays, of all their high draft picks in the last 10 years, only 2 first round picks and 1 second round pick contributed to the success of this year's team. Want to add Delmon Young? Fine. That is only four players that were drafted before the 10th round by the Rays. The rest were trades (of which only the Delmon Young trade involved a high draft pick going the other way) and free agents.
