The land has fan in Dave Zentner

  • Article by: DENNIS ANDERSON , Star Tribune

At 72, Dave Zentner plies roads to encourage conservation and plies waters and woods for fish and food. He's that rare Minnesotan who combines green and game.

In all the years I have read this column - this is without a doubt the shortest. All this article is, is a blatant advertisement for that amendment. I wonder how eager Dennis Anderson will be to interview me, since my day is pretty much the same but I'm 43 and I'm against the amendment?

If you search for Dedicated Funding for the outdoors. You will find a ton of information about it. Information is kind of general because why spend alot of time and money planning what to do with funding that may not show up. As far as voting No for DF you better realize that this is the only chance that you are going to get to have some control over government. The money will be handled by a citizen oversite group.

These "citizens" are appointed by the Senate, House of Representatives, and the Governor. I'm sure they'll be the every day John Q. Public alright. These "citizens" will just be a figurehead and yes men for those branches of government and we will be no further ahead than when we started. In fact, we will be further behind as they pull more of our money out of our wallets if this passes and the sales tax is increased. Please don't be fooled by this citizen oversight committee. It was added as a last ditch effort to get both sides to come to some sort of an agreement to get this pushed on to us, the voters. Please vote NO in NOvember!!!!
