Church refuses to take sides

Archbishop John Nienstedt welcomed a contingent of RNC delegates to the St. Paul Cathedral on Sunday afternoon, urging them to "enjoy our Minnesota hospitality" but then wasting no time making it clear that the Roman Catholic Church doesn't intend to take sides in the upcoming election.

are sitting on the sidelines on the gay marriage and abortion topics! This is, almost, reprehensible for a church, let alone a Catholic Church!!!!! It shows that even religion is bowing to mainstay society and the liberal views!! It's almost taboo these days. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!

If I get a voice in the choice of the next Pope, then the Catholic Church can endorce political candidates.

i continue to be disappointed by the number of Christians, both Protestant & Catholic, that act as if abortion and homosexuality are the only issues important to the faith. did Jesus single out these two issues the way most of you do? are did he set a different agenda for us?
