They don't want any undesirables to get near the delegates. That includes the homeless. Just close your eyes to the things you don't want to see- but exist every other day except during the convention when they are swept away.

Fact: The original name of the settlement that became St. Paul was Pig's Eye. Named for the French-Canadian whiskey trader, Pierre "Pig's Eye" Parrant, who had led squatters to the settlement.

So SPPD should give tickets to local attractions, food vouchers, and other handouts like the DNC did in Denver? The democrat party didn't want homeless around delegates in Denver, why should we? If the DNC was in St Paul you would be applauding this display, but because it happens to be the RNC you hate it! You and yours are something else!

Republicans talk about smaller government but seem to increase the police state whenever they get together. Bunch of hypocrites. Why can't the republicans coming to town rely on themselves instead of counting on the government to take care of them.

This is insane. The show of force in Mpls & St Paul in recent weeks is truly absurd and overbearing.

Where's the report on the police raid of a meeting last night in St. Paul... I can't find it in the STrib. RAIDING A MEETING! Police state and open season on citizens and constitutional rights. Does anyone remember Charlie Stenvig's tach squad raiding parties in Mpls? Here we go again. Disgusting.
