Interesting that they describe Brit's as an "Irish Pub." The place seems decidedly English to me.
Good catch, last time I checked, both the Irish and Brits would be offended by that slip up.
THE Republican police state will show it's true colors this week. Probably already have plans to take it nation-wide. Putin must be jealous.
Anheuser-Busch -- a macro-brewer whose success was built on name recognition rather than on its (low) quality, recently was sold off to foreign investors (Belgium-based InBev). An appropriate choice here, reflective of large segments of American industry (and politics).
Twins being out of town. Loss of revenue for the restaurants, city sales tax, county sales tax, and state city tax. Also if the Twins are out of the playoffs because of their forced road trip... more revenues and sales tax loss to the local businesses and several government entities. WHAT WERE THE GOP THINKING???? WINNING THE STATE! I THINK NOT, PEOPLE WILL REMEMBER WHY THE TWINS ARE OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS!!! GOP STUPIDITY!!!!!
What type of argument are you making? Twins out of the playoffs? This is the most moronic argument I have ever heard. I think anyone who reads your comment is dumber because of you. You blame the government for everything. It's cloudy today, blame BUSH. We are below our August average for rainfall, blame the GOP!!! The Twins won't make the playoffs, blame the RNC!!!!! You are a joke.
vneva, You have pointed out the norm for the trib. It doesnt matter about printing facts as long as the spin is good for left and bad for the right. It only takes a new reader ( not that that happens often) 1 paper to see the bias and slant in the paper.
LOL!!! I'm no fan of the Rebublican party, but that is the most far reaching, ridiculous argument I've ever heard. I'll give you points for creativity though!
Here and I thought the Twins were fading because of the middle relief pitchers and poor hitting against LH pitchers......
well for the week of the convention we will be avoiding the downtown area of St. Paul and most probably Minneapolis too.
We have birthdays in September we need to get gifts for and the place we wanted to purchase from the History Center is closed for the duration of the Convention - so we are hoping to get there without problems today.
We will just be glad when Convention season is over - it must be terrible for both downtown Denver and downtown St. Paul people.
