I guess Pohlad hasn't read all the StarTrib comments written by the 'experts' that know the 'Socialist' Obama plans to tax people like Pohlad into the poor house.

The Pohlads not generous? I can't believe it. Never mind that Carl is one of the wealthiest people in all of the world, measured by Forbes. Yet he is one of the tightest owners in sports.

Of course he would support Barack Obama. Carl needs someone to subsidize his lifestyle so that he can afford to build a new stadium.

You'd think all the idiot republicans would praise his fiscal conservatism in regards to his team management. Personally, I'd much rather root for a team that does so much with so little rather than a team like the Yankees that has recently done so little with so much. It's probably just sour grapes, considering the trouncing McCain will receive in the general election, especially here in Minnesota. Go Twins and go Barack!

Team owners spend their money buying state and local politicians, since they are the ones who will deliver votes to tax citizens (without referenda) to build new ballparks, etc. National politicians, by contrast, have little to offer. Local politicians are worth much more.

Approximately 2 years ago, a number of very rich folks bought a full page ad in the red star and publicly declared that they wanted to be taxed more. It's only poor people who think that not taxing the super rich is somehow good. Anyway, they made the public statement because they felt that the lack if infrastructure and poor schooling would cost them more in the end i.e. falling bridge? If you think I am wrong, look at big oil they receive nice tax breaks and don’t seem to be giving us the complementary reach-a-round. I say tax them till there happy.

Because when "idiot Republicans" talk about fiscal conservatism they're referring to what people do with their private earnings. That's exactly what they're referring to. Ironic that you use the term "idiot".
