Iowa Supreme Court throws out all of state's mandatory minimum sentences for juveniles

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Supreme Court ruled Friday that juveniles cannot be given mandatory minimum sentences, making it the first state to interpret federal court directives that broadly.
