It's great to see guys like you keeping the Scouting traditions alive! So many troops are folding these days. Communities that would previously allow free use of their facilities are closing doors on Troops everywhere. Kids don't have the same opportunities for civic service, outdoor learning, and leadership cultivation that were available a few short years ago. GO SCOUTS!

Bat Houses? Now that's something! What a great idea. Bats are important to us and right now, with their populations diminishing (for reasons we still don't why), they need all our help.

The Scouts don't get the PR they should. It directs young people in the right way. I got my Eagle over 35 years ago and the motto still stands: Once an Eagle Scout, always an Eagle Scout. Great job, Paul

Tell them to put down their Game-boys or X-Boxes or Wii machines for a moment and see if they can read it. They should get to know something about this young man, they will probably be working for him one day.

Strong values, morals, leadership, life skills, outdoors skills, and interpersonal skills are just a few of the great things that the Boy Scouts of America have going for them. Too bad the Girl Scouts caved on their leadership requirements and sold their values down the river. It is great that we have a movement like the Boy Scouts to help shape and develop our future leaders. I salute you my fellow Eagle Scout! Keep up the great work!!

Wow, what a great accomplishment! I can't believe you earned 100+ merit badges, that must be a record! My son is a Life Scout, about a year away from Eagle, and his scouting (and my scout leadership) have provided hundreds of opportunities for us to bond, and for him to be mentored by civic-minded, caring adults. It's a great program, whether you approve of their politics or not. For you to accomplish all of that, plus work on college credits during high school, is amazing. Somehow I think I'll be voting for you for some office in the future! You are a great inspiration.

Yeah too bad the Girl Scouts don't share the "value" of discriminating against non-religious and homosexual youth.
