Minneapolis fountains poised to make a splash

Designs for a series of 10 drinking fountains to be installed in Minneapolis to honor the city’s connection to water were unveiled Tuesday.

You have to be kidding me. Bridges falling, homless hungry people, crumbling infrastructure, shrinking fire and police budgets....the list goes on and on and were wasting money on drinking fountains. The light at the end of the tunnel has been offically turned off!!!!

get real- I can't see this as a good allocation of tax $. Like grebic says- how many kids will loose out on smaller classes ? My street is full of potholes.....

Lets see... 50k for 10 public drinking fountains that I can use, for free. 700 million for a privately owned ballpark that I will have to pay a fee to enter and enjoy. Maybe we need to shift our priorities and focus on bigger fish, and for-profit special interests.

Im glad i live in bloomington, not that we dont have our problems but atleast we arent spending $50,000 on a water fountain

I say never because there are a large % of residents that live in some fantasy-like utopian world. Rybak is an even bigger joke than Sayles-Belton which is quite an accomplishment.
