Just make sure you park next to a plug!

If my utility issues a "peak load alert", as happens so many times during a typical summer, should I plug my in my Zenn during that time? If not, how many times during a typical summer day will I need to plug/unplug my Zenn?

That's $7,500 MORE than I paid for my '95 BMW 525i, and that $7,500 would buy a LOT of gas.

A really good step, but not exactly zero emission as coal is burned to produce a lot of our electricity.

cities would be smart to design to accomodate. We need dedicated commuter corridors restricted to smaller vehicles so people can feel safe using them. Municipal parking ramps should have dedicated areas that provide recharging. E-car design should include standardized batteries that are easy to swap out when recharging time is not an option. The Ford plant in St Paul should partner with a company like Zenn to mass produce; e-cars are the Model T of the 21st century.

There's plenty of gas left for the rest of us who don't want to drive around in a deathmobile that is also a piece of crap on 4 wheels. If this is the next Model T, go ahead and invest, invest, invest!!!! Yeah, good luck w/ all that!

winquist1 -- so you'd let the perfect be the enemy of the good? People should keep driving gas guzzlers until they perfect the solar car? No. jsmappy -- the real "deathmobiles" are the ones spewing out emissions and sucking down precious fuel.
