Movie review: 'Space Chimps' is for chumps

Everything about the ho-hum animated comedy "Space Chimps" says "Good enough."

Maybe...maybe... some kid will be inspired to find out about the actual "US Astrochimp" program with Ham. And then somehow get into science and engineering. As long as they don't grow up to have hair like Andy Samborg. That should really be the moral of the movie.

The movies are getting more generic as time passes. We have 3 children's movies about space released in the span of about 3 months. The only of which seems any interesting would be Wall-E. But that's a Disney-Pixar film and those are always somewhat satisfying. The other two, Space Chimps and Fly Me to the Moon are great examples of how little work you need to put into making a film and having it sell. It's sad really.
