New agreement aimed at recruiting, retaining mail carriers in western North Dakota's oil patch

BISMARCK, N.D. — The U.S. Postal Service will grant pay increases and bonuses to recruit and retain mail carriers in western North Dakota's oil patch, where the region's soaring population has led to overwhelmed workers, long lines at post offices and tardy or undelivered mail.

When you can make $18 @ hour at McD's...working the post office at a bit more than that doesn't seem so attractive. Won't be long and ND will be like Aspen, no one that works there, can afford to live there.
