No problem with it. I still want to know why the government funded a $175,000 study to learn how fish swim.

Here we go again. Millions of taxpayer dollars going to clean up a problem caused by a for-profit industry.

By learning how fish swim we can make our ships more efficient saving dollars, fuel and carbon dioxide. I agree. When a for-profit industry creates a problem they should be the one to fund correcting it instead of externalizing the cost to taxpayers or the environment(taxpayers again).

What is the for-profit industry? I'm guessing it's the farm food industry, which consists primarily of big ag companies and farmers. Trying to get either to fund correcting this would take years if it happened at all. The taxpayers will pay either way, due to higher priced food or taxes to help keep food prices down. Hopefully, this will work and the offenders adopt some of the practices on their own, once they see that it is good for their business.

Dog and pony show and a small drop in the bucket towards what needs to be done. We all need it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed they feed the dying bees with a high quality heavily tested Monsanto product.

Yeah for-profit companies have a tendency to put profit before all else, but what's the alternative? Have our entire ag system nationalized and ran by bureaucrats? It's between a rock and a hard place trying to feed hundreds of millions of people who have nothing to do with producing their own food other than going to a big box store and paying for it. Bees are the backbone of our food supply and it will likely take free enterprise to come up with a way to save them, not looking to the government and their infinite wisdom for effecient and effective solutions for anything...
