It's about time he finally got a chance to play. The fans have waited all year for this. Run some offense thru Muhammad and see what he can do. You hear me, JJ? A little less showboating and one on one play. Start playing like a point guard and get your teammates involved. See Ricky Rubio. Play Price more too, Rick. He's more of a point guard than anyone other than Ricky, something the second unit desperately needs.

Price at the point, JJ at shooting guard, Shabazz at small forward, Hummel at power forward, and Dieng at Center. You've got scoring, rim protection, and players at their natural position. Bring in MBah! only when we have a nice lead to protect, as he provides nothing on offense. Must move JJ off the point. He's more valuable to us as a spot up shooter, ala Vinny "the microwave" Johnson. Lexy also brings little to the table, as his 4.2 points per game and .32% shooting can attest. His days here appear to be numbered. Kaaaaaaaaaahn!!!

Lexi is a mystery man. He has wonderful athleticism, flashes of excellent plays, but he can't seem to make shots and his defense is spotty. He's had opportunities, but can't deliver. Maybe he will succeed, but it won't be now or here.

Hummel cannot play at this level. And on top of that, our coach needs to get with it. What took so long? Only 60% of the season is gone.

Hummel can't play at this level ? In the last game (not all garbage time) he had the second highest plus / minus on the team. While his individual stats may not be a glory to behold he is obviously doing right by the team when he is out there.

Well I am so happy that Shabbaz is playing relaxed and feeling no pressure. He should fit right in with the defensive mentality of this team.

efrik - Go look at Love's rookie year game log. He wasn't always lights out, in fact he had plenty of similiar 1-8 type games. Expecting rookies to play like vets is silly.

Since making the playoffs is no longer possible, the most the team can hope for now is to develop Shabazz and Dieng to be contributors for next season. Might as well let Hummel have more minutes as well to see if he has anything to offer.

Hummel does have something to offer. Hustle, defense, ball movement, hit an occasional jumper. He's one of those guys who can fill minutes without hurting the team. For a different example, lets look at ol JR Smith. If he isn't scoring, what value does he bring to the Knicks ? Not a whole lot right ? He actually is hurting the team because he has virtually no other value. Hummel is one of those proverbial glue guys...does a lot of things decently, doesn't do anything horribly.
