Minnesota State University, Mankato, researchers study most effective use of road salt

MANKATO, Minn. — Roads across Minnesota remained icy Monday after last week's storm, which was nasty by most people's standards. But road salt researchers at Minnesota State University in Mankato couldn't have been happier.

Kudos to them. Less salt = less money = less problems for our lakes. BUT, we must realize some storms just come at the wrong time to clear and a lumpy road is the result of nature, not road crews.
