Make sure you recycle that paper cup, while I stick this old stadium in a landfill. Nothing to see here.

Reminds me of too many Viking's seasons...

Most parts of buildings like the Metrodome are typically recycled. Concrete is ground up into an aggregate material similar to class 5 gravel. Sometimes the concrete is ground up at the construction site and reused for the new building. Metal is recycled into new metal. By the time you get rid of all the concrete and metal for a building like the Metrodome there isn't that much for the landfill.

Didn't sound much different than your average hot summer night in North Minneapolis.

Very little demolition debris is going into a landfill. The stadium is largely made of concrete and is being recycled.

My idea of a good time: Spend 30 seconds ignoring a commercial so that I can watch 37 seconds of video.

It was nice to see that Vikings sign tumble down. Very symbolic of the Vikings 50 plus years of failure.

The only sad part is remembering when it was first going up and all the excitement the Metrodome generated. I thought the dome would be so much cooler than it was (and if it had had A/C to begin with it might have had a chance!). It was just too bad they built it on the cheap.
