The Big Ten, which pays each member school roughly $25 million a year, thanks to the Big Ten Network, is the richest football conference in the land. The SEC might eclipse that with its recently announced formation of an SEC Network that will begin next year. Some have estimated the SEC might generate more than $30 million per school with that deal. But remember: the Big Ten will be heading to the market for a new TV contract in 2016, armed with huge new markets in New York City/New Jersey and Baltimore/Washington D.C.

He has the same number of bowl wins as Tim Brewster.

He has done a little above average job butbstill unproven in the Big Ten. Minnesota has such low expectations.

once again, the U wastes money by giving an extension to a coach that may not be aroudn a whole lot longer. Kill is infinitely better than Brewster, but they had given Brewste an extension too than fired him. They should have hired NDSU coach Craig Bohl when they had the chance.

If they doubled Kill's salary, they should quadruple Tracy Claeys'salary. He was on the on the field acting coach for the big wins last year.

seems like a good guy and team was definitely better this year on defense. still a very risky move, hate to pay out another big buy-out if they need to fire him, especially as it looks like they will need yet another basketball coach after this year.
