A day after a devastating loss to Canada, the Americans barely showed up against the motivated Finns in the bronze medal game.

Nice job of getting the boys up for the game, coach

This is great news. I am not a hockey fan, but when the Finns can defeat the USA and the hard rubber hockey pucks for brains in the Twin Cities, Duluth and the Iron Range, I am ecstatic! Anything to crush the hopes of the hard rubber hockey pucks who prefer to put hockey ahead of everything else, including basketball. Hyva Sisu, Suomalainen poikkas!

The US team looked terrible. The Finns obviously wanted it more and weren't ashamed to take bronze. Hats off to them.

The Americans got behind and simply quit. Gutless and heartless. What a shame.

Hopefully, the NHL will bow out of the Olympics and they will go back to amateurs (i.e. college players) for Olympic hockey. Highly paid NHL players apparently have no motivation to excel at the Olympics; their only motivation seems to be not to get hurt and endanger their multi-million dollar hockey contract back home. Sad. Very sad.

I guess Team USA Hockey's cariologist must have left early ... Team USA- No Heart. Finns have all my respect. Honestly! USA Hockey is the most over funded under producing sports entity of our time!

If I didn't know better, I would have guessed the USA team was coached by Bud Grant.

The women played with passion, the men did not! For those guys...just back to taking home the salary...they looked PATHETIC and as Parise said...embarrassing. These guys could not score once in two games...and they are pros? The women's games were more exciting and carried the spirit of the Olympics.

Well, think of it this way, who cares about third place. In the US, it's all or nothing. I can see why they didn't play well. Maybe they shouldn't go to the Olympics.

At least they beat Russia :) I actually had to quit watching the Bronze medal game.
