Right now Obamas approval rating is at its lowest point since taking office. For those of us who know the man this is just another deflection tactic to take the focus off the poor economy, failed healthcare bill and unemployment. Raising the minimum wage will do absolutely nothing other than raise cost of goods and kill jobs. Congress lets have a vote and shut this down so he can move on to the next non issue.

I may support the min wage increase if you unlink union wages from any increase in the min wage. Unions are paid plenty already. Keep this in mind when unionistas try to portray themselves as caring for the working poor. They ate really trying to enrich themselves.

I guess Obama doesn't care that half a million people would lose their jobs. Or maybe he will spin this as people having the option of staying home and not having to be bothered with work, like he did with the CBO report that said Obamacare will cost 2.5 MILLION jobs.

"Right now Obamas approval rating is at its lowest point since taking office" -- is that what they're saying on Faux Nooz? Cuz reality tells a different story... 'His current approval stands at 46 percent, up from a low of 42 percent in November. ' ______ "For those of us who know the man" -- you know the president? How did you meet him? Do you keep in touch? _____ "Raising the minimum wage will do absolutely nothing" -- other than to lift 900k people out of poverty, you mean?

Raising the minimum wage discourages hiring and employment. Better would be to encourage free enterprise business. It is the engine of prosperity. Not government.

"the CBO report that said Obamacare will cost 2.5 MILLION jobs." -- you're confused again, Joe... again I urge you to read the report, read the FAQ the CBO released to help clear the confusion of people who have bought into the lies and distortions put out by Faux Nooz, and read the clarification failed former VP candidate Paul Ryan made where he confirmed that jobs weren't disappearing, but rather workers filling those jobs

"Raising the minimum wage discourages hiring and employment." -- are you in favor of lowering or removing the minimum wage? What about overtime rules that pay increased wages?
