If Spielman had a solid plan in place to acquire an answer to the QB issue he wouldn't need to be coy about it. The problem is that he has no clue how to fix the QB problem. He is generally in over his head.

Reporters misidentify Ponders problem when they slough it off as "lacking consistency". That's patently untrue as he's consistently locked onto the first receiver he sees, whether primary or not, can't properly lead a receiver irregardless of the route, overthrows receivers, throws wounded ducks, get's freaked out by the pass rush to the point of mental breakdown, hasn't developed arm strength in the weight room, can't see himself as others see him and get's happy feet way to early, all just for starters. He's done this all with extreme consistency. Consistency is NOT his problem.

I hope he's right and he takes the best player available, because it won't be a QB, more likely LB or corner will be the highest rated player

almost positive Cassel will resign for a 3 year deal maybe worth 20-25 million. that will give Vikings ability to wait till 2-3rd round or even wait till next year for future QB.

Vikings should focus on defense and offensive line.

but please, please no more d line picks, focus on secondary. d-line can be filled in by anybody, good corners and linebackers are hard to come by

Trade all picks rds 1-6 and have the first 25 picks in rd 7. Or just pick your nose.

I've got a bad feeling that Cassel and his agent want too much. If that's true let Cassel sign with another team. Cassel would be more of an insurance policy then a long term solution anyway. Save the 32 million in cap space for defensive players. Let Turner take two young QB's in the draft and develop them. At this point I'm just going to trust in Turner. So Manziel, Carr, and McCarron have decided to skip the combine? I think that might assist them all with sliding down in the draft. My reason would be that teams are going to want to compare. When players don't want to show up or they don't want to participate in one or more of the drills or steps in the draft it makes it look like they have something to hide and it's probably because they do and their agents tell them to skip certain events. San Francisco and Seattle found their QB'c in the 2nd and 3rd rounds respectively. I don't think we should feel pressure to draft a QB in the 1st round anymore.
