Horrible slashing call on the US to take away 1:55 of their 2:00 4 on 3. What the! Then no penalty shot. I think the US would have been better giving up the penalty shot instead a 2 mins of 4 on 3. Strange calls in OT but giving up the 2-0 lead with 3 minutes to go in regulation was their own fault.

It'll be remembered as The Chokie in Sochi.

May as well end women's hockey as a sport in the Olympics. Just give Canada an extra gold medal instead and save the futile time and effort. Another moral victory for the once-great America.

Horrible coaching job by Katie Stone in the 3rd period. Had the team playing not to lose. And Julie Chu may be a veteran, but is too slow and was on the ice for the final 2 Canada goals. Bitterly disappointing for all involved.

While I realize that not all the women on Gophers team are from the US, the USOC should have just named the Gophers team as the Olympic team. The Gophers are without a doubt the best womens team in the country. But when you bring in the east coast hockey establishment, the US's lose is what happens.

I thought the game could have gone either way. I was impressed with the women's talent on both sides. I was disappointed that they lost when they were so close to winning. #*&^@!!!!!

Epic choke. The same thing will happen to the men tomorrow.

Tough to choke the game away, but this tourney was always more important to Canadians than Americans. In team sports, the US is the 800 pound North American gorilla in most of them. Canada pretty much has hockey. It probably won't be long before the US starts regularly beating our neighbors in hockey too, so it's alright to let Canada bask in the sun a little for this Olympics.

USA should be hang there heads low. Gold was the only option. This is a two team competition. Even the IOC remains concerned about the lack of competition and if the rest of the world cannot catch up ... this sport will be gone from the Olympics/
