It's just a bummer that this game is in the semi-finals and not the gold medal game like 4 years ago…It would have been a re-match for the ages…As it is, it will still be a very good game!

Semi-finals is just fine. No guarantees that either North American team would beat either Scandinavian team. Look for Sweden to win the Gold Medal.

I don't think there is any doubt that any team left, can beat any other team. Ask the Russians.

“It’s always nice to get on the board,” Parise said. “Feel good about yourself a little bit.” Gosh, when I mentioned yesterday that Zach may feel a little shallow about not being on the scoring board at the Olypmpics, and how he may feel a bit shallow about if the team medaled, no one liked the comment. Hmm. I guess the only thing I can say now are that quite a few of you must have never played any team sports.

Yeah, and now Parise has more Olympic goals this year than Crosby, Getzlaf and Perry combined. I guess those three are junk too and shouldn't have made Team Canada. What do you think Mgala???? On the other note, Granlund has been superb during the games. He seems to thrive on the big stage (and big ice surface). This should only boost his confidence once he returns to the Wild.

"The Wild representatives on the U.S. squad hadn’t played poorly in the three preliminary round games. They just didn’t produce any points." Russo writes a similar sentence at least once a month about the Wild in general!

Chip you were right on when you said David Backes was the best player on the ice. It is about time someone from the Strib recognized "the best two way hockey player" this state has produced in a really long time. The two Blues players from Minnesota are great examples of the true "state of hockey"
