What a non-story. There has got to be something else more interesting going on in training camp. You'll win no awards with boring, repetitive stories like this.

The bilateral leg weakness story a few years ago was much more interesting than this story.

This is a waste of ink/ cyber space. Joe will play 1st base well without a need for an update. It would be news if he went back to catching or went to the outfield. But confirming what we already knew was a waste of time for the readers and I'm sorry I read it and sorry I've commented.

An elite athlete such as Mauer should be able to play a low-demand position like first in his sleep. End of story. Moving right along...

If I could go to Florida for spring training, I'd be there already too! It looks like the Captains Crank are raining on you today, Joe.

Doesn't he live in Ft. Myers in the offseason anyway? Therefore, don't expect me to be impressed that he made the effort to get there. Not to mention, he should be there already as he is making at least $23 million this year to perform - something he hasn't done in a few years. I expect leadership from Mauer - however, I don't see that happening as he constantly gets a free ride from the media in this city. Anything the guy does is good enough for the media...sad.

Being that he is already on the field, I expect the bilateral leg weakness to set in in approximately May.

Prince Fielder appeared in 162 games last year because of his grueling off-season conditioning routine.

anyone else see in the terms of use (or terms of engagement) where objective criticism of stribling writers or twins executives is out of bounds?
