National Guard suspends honor guard member over photo of soldiers mugging around empty casket

MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin National Guard announced Tuesday that it had suspended a member from honor guard duties after she apparently posted to social media a photograph of soldiers mugging around an empty, flag-draped casket.

Oh, puh-leeez! This is over-reaction at it's best. It was an empty casket, for cripes sake. If anyone wants to have some FUN at my funeral, or that of a loved one, HAVE AT IT. Enough already. And, I'm sure glad Americain soldiers in France, Germany & Japan during WWII weren't instagramming, facebooking or snap chatting. The "greatest" generation made some immature (& sometimes illegal) mistakes during their service, as well.
