Fla. artist smashes vase worth $1 million in Miami museum; police say it was protest

MIAMI — A South Florida artist is facing a criminal charge after police say he smashed a $1 million vase at Miami's new art museum to protest what he called its favoritism for international rather than local art.

A million? For THAT? Somebody got taken for a ride... art students do those all the time - one of a couple hundred pots thrown by a living 60 year old ain't a million bucks worth of art just because his father was a poet and he grew up in a Chinese re-education camp.

Another person that has no respect for others. Me, me, me, look at me. He'll claim it was his right under freedom of speech. I hope the museum sues him for every penny he has (which I'm guessing isn't much).
