Billie Jean King named to Obama's delegation for Olympic closing ceremony

WASHINGTON — Tennis star Billie Jean King, who couldn't attend the opening of the Sochi Olympics because of her mother's illness, will be a member of President Barack Obama's official delegation to the games' closing ceremony.

Billie Jean King was a great champion. But a really important part of her legacy was her match with Bobby Riggs. Riggs was a tennis hustler and King beating him into the ground made a statement about women's athletics. I about died laughing when he took his coat off because he was sweating so badly.
