Is it me or was Coxie getting run on a routine basis from the 2nd period on? Does Dick Spannbauer have any eligibility left? We need some response to that! Nice game tonight boys, solid victory. Nice event for Mr. Mayasich as well, just might have been the greatest Minnesota player ever...

Just for the fans that are wondering, Michigan is the winningest college hockey program.

Fantastic game. Thats the most energy I've seen the Gophers have since Nov. I love to watch race horse hockey (speed and skill). Another big game tonight. Pride on Ice.

Just not as exciting as watching the old WCHA.

Michigan did not get whipped. Minnesota dominated the first period. 2nd period Michigan started to gain control and Michigan outplayed the Gophers in the third. Very very close game.

The North Dakota Canadiens are being replaced by the Michigan Canadiens. Give it a little time, these rivalries will develop. The Big10 tournament should be good hockey.

Cynical1, when you say it's not as exciting as the old WCHA are you talking about the old WCHA when Michigan was a member?

The old WCHA rivalries will never go away. They will just be that much more intense when the Gophers do play them on occasion. And I see this renewed rivalry with perennial power Michigan becoming as intense as any of the old ones. Likin' it.
