Does anyone know of people being turned away because they did not have the right insurance or the money to put up front before being seen? What services or protocol do they have in place to help every person that comes to their door for medical care? Do they go beyond emergency care?

They should have let the pros at Sanford run the whole show. Simply renaming doesn't improve services, professional management would.

"U of M Health Care says it all." Really? ALL? U of M Health Care is not deeply interested in alternative approaches to health. Nearly 40 percent of Americans use health care approaches developed outside of mainstream Western, or conventional, medicine for specific conditions or overall well-being. I myself have dramatically improved my health by looking past the conventional thinking of places like U of M Health Care. "All"? No. "Some"? Yes. "Behind the times"? Yep.

option, if you switch to Mayo, make sure you have the right insurance first and do some research on the department you visit. Know something about the doctor and if you can, read the journal articles coming from that department. Do not think that someone that writes journal article and statistics, is necessarily a good surgeon and should be allowed around patients. Remember there is a power differentiation and but you still rights.

With a long history of psychiatric research abuse and violations of patients protected private information a simple name change doesn't change a thing. Quackery.
