Why would they bother with a study regarding hotel room demand in Farmington. A short county fair won't make it work, nor will Buck Hill or the Northfield Colleges... But if you ARE going to build a hotel, build it downtown so people can walk to/from other amenities. Not on some car-dependent commercial strip on the edge of town.

Let's not forget that Farmington, when AmericInn came to town wanting to build a hotel in the early 2000's, turned them away...said we weren't ready. What makes us so ready now? McDonald's?

There is no doubt that once again the City of Farmington will drive up the cost with outrageous code requirements and kill the project. Again!
