About time, this could've been prevented if they had been proactive instead reactive. All we need to do is implement the chip cards here like they have in Canada and Europe. Way more secure than anything we have. If we are supposed to be considered a leader why have we become such a follower?

ooh, they've formed a partnership! now we'll get some real action... working committee appointing study groups, hiring survey contractors, and holding offsites! how about they look at the working industry standards, have the retailers report the number of machines they need, get a bulk contract negotiated, and roll the stuff out before the end of the year? put up a little money, perhaps a little less than the cost of the higher insurance costs they now face, and stop kicking the can down the road?
