Good for Mo. He put in the work and now is benefiting. This is what happens when you have a coach who can make players better. Kill got the Gopher FB team to overachieve and now Pitino is doing the same.

“I think this year, individual workouts have helped a lot,” Walker said. “We work on all these moves that you see me doing like daily pretty much. And just the constant confidence that Coach gives me to be aggressive down low.” Was Tubby that bad a coach or just lazy?

Mo, more than anybody has improved under Pitino, coming out of Brewster Academy, Walker was a highly sought after big man and a 4 star recruit, so the ability was always there. His freshmen year after blowing out a knee and being inactive for 2 years set him back tremendously. But credit Pitino and Mo for the huge turn around we've seen in him.

Give Pitino a couple of years. He will build the Gophers to a competitor then leave for a team/school that is serious about winning. Poor Minnesota fans. We are the Shirts and Skins sports mecca.

Wisconsin won't be the same team as last month...they're well coached and will attack the boards and dominate the weak Gopher forwards (King and Osenieks). Walker and Eliason need to be on the floor at the same time, or it will be a blowout win for the Badgers.

Walker and Eliason will be around for another year. They would be a formidable pair on the court together. The dynamics would challenge most teams trying to defend them. It would also strengthen their press by allowing a defensive stopper under the hoop plus a big defender on the out of bounds pass. However it leaves the bench weak. Hope Pitino tries it soon.

Maybe he should take a few more practice shots from right under the basket instead of trying three pointers. If he would have made a few more buckets from right under the rim they would have won a few more games. That goes for Eliason too.
