My recovery from alcoholism began in a treatment center and has continued for 32 years, thanks to 12-step meetings and the people at those meetings who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, anonymously. I found Ms. Murphy's self-promotion off-putting, her website a little too sophomoric. The website suggests that she is an "expert" on recovery from addiction and codependency. People who are solidly in recovery, at least the ones I know, neither seek nor give advice. We're all too busy taking our own inventories.

She needs to start speaking at schools. I met her once and she was charismatic and cares about young adults. Just checked the site looks impactful and fresh! Good for you Amber
