This is the team I thought we would be watching all season. Nothing to complain about tonight. The ball moved, everybody played defense. I like Barea playing the two alongside Rubio, or Price, for that matter. He can't dominate the ball and gets the ball in better space for good shots. Love's passing tonight was exceptional. He should have had a triple double, but teammates fumbled some of his passes and missed shots. Hopefully this win carries over to next week.

JJ Barea was great tonight, 18 points in 18 minutes. He went PERFECT from the field, 8 from 8. This the Barea I know, the real one, the same one who helped the Mavs win the championship in 2011 against the Thunder, Lakers and Heat, the one who was the starter point guard in that 2011 NBA Finals. Haters???...Where are you????

hopefully pek gets back and this is the start of a streak. 9 out or 10 wouldn't be bad at all. Our PGs had a field day with all three of Denvers PGs MIA. If Lawsons healthy, its a bit harder.. I will say, Rubio seems to be playing with more confidence and is developing a tougher attitude and another gear.. got to have it in this League for sure.

People, this win came against a decimated Nuggets team. All it shows is that the Wolves can beat a team when four of their top eight players are injured. To think of it as the start of a streak is to set yourself up for disappointment again. What this win does mean is that the Wolves have a pretty good chance of finishing ahead of the Nuggets.

@CHUCKTRAYLOR, Hey Chuck, can you remember how well Barea played at the two(2)spot along with Jason Kidd in that 2011 Mavs squad?? But this year JJ has been INCONSISTENT. I remember last year JJ Barea was the scoring leader in 4th quarters for the Wolves! This year......???

Barea going 8-for-8 tonight means that in the in the last two games he went 9-for-17, since he was 1-for-9 against Houston (0-for-4 on threes).

I do recall Barea's good run with Dallas in 2011. I also believe he has lost a step since then, but can be an effective catch-and-shoot guy still. Part of the problem, I think, is that Adelman's substitution patterns to date have had Barea subbing for Rubio rather than the shooting guard. Barea is not a point guard; he is a short shooting guard. Tonight Rubio, and Love, got JJ the ball in a position to get open looks, and he didn't spend the majority of the shot clock dribbling around and looking for an opening.looking for an opening. On a more important note, I'm sorry that Adelman's wife is having problems again. Prayers for that family.

It's a win even, against a so-so team. Love Adelman, but it might be time.

If you dismiss this win because they had players out, you can not complain if we lose with Pek and Martin out.
