January's bitter cold puts Twin Cities home sales on ice

Twin Cities closings were the lowest since October 2011, but foreclosures saw a 34 percent decline from last year.

We listed our home in Plymouth Jan 20 and received a full-price offer Jan 22. (This in spite of having showings on days when the windchill was as low as -35.) If you're thinking about listing, do it now!

The cold is just an excuse, Average 30-year US mortgage rate up to 4.28 pct. add to that a lousey economy and theres your culprit.
