Wyoming, 18 other states, seek to file arguments in US Supreme Court on New Jersey gun law

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Wyoming is leading a coalition of 19 states asking the U.S. Supreme Court to let them submit a brief supporting a New Jersey man's challenge to that state's concealed weapons law.

These guns rights laws are a can of worms. The right to carry a concealed weapon without a permit? Come on! If you're going to do it just do it. Don't whine that you need a law to allow you. No law should protect someone from the consequences to them caused by using their sidearm whether licensed or no, concealed or open carry. Next you'll be getting a test case involving a conceal & carry shooter of an open carry gun wearer because he/she felt threatened by him/her! The verdict in the Trayvon Martin murder trial would seem simple in comparison to some of the possible scenarios.

" --- The threshold is if a REASONABLE person would feel threatened. A reasonable person is not threatened to the point of deadly force simply because another person has a holstered pistol.
