It's about time people stood up to illegal immigrants and the cost taxpayers have to pay.

Steven: You are absolutely correct. However not every human deserves a roof over their head in the United States. I'm sure that's what you meant....

My, what a diverse looking group with their hands raised in victory celebration mode. What's up next? Permits needed to eat in local restaurants? Separate restrooms for legal and illegal? Illegals to the back of the bus?

Hmm. Why does this behavior have such a familiar sounding ring to it? Hmm.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand a mighty woman with a torch, whose flame is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command the air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she with silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

The man this town is named after, John C Fremont, was himself against the enforcement of the Fugitive Slave Act. So, according to the supporters of this anti-immigration law, the important thin is to follow the law regardless of whether it is right or wrong. Which is the exact opposite of what the man they named their town after did.

The hilarious part is that these folks think they can have a prosperous, modern city while giving the middle finger to anyone who isn't white (no folks, I don't believe for a second this is really about "illegals"). Nope. All over the high plains, and in some parts of MN too, towns that embrace immigration are surviving while others evaporate due to declining and aging populations. Fremont won't escape that trend.
