Ice storm grips parts of the South, knocks out power to more than 300K in the region

ATLANTA — Slushy highways and streets were mostly desolate and ice encased trees and sent them crashing into power lines, knocking out electricity to a wide swath of the South as the winter-weary region was hit with its second winter storm in two weeks.

Conservatives in the south will surely be happy to accept federal funds to help out with this horrible weather. If they lose power and can't listen to talk radio they will miss out on the outrage over our precious tax money going towards poor, hungry children for food and health insurance. Personally I am happy our country helps out with both emergencies.
